U12 Evaluations - 2026 / 2027

Who Should Attend Evaluations? 

• Any player interested in playing U12 and born 2015 or later should participate in U12 evaluations
• LORL allows two over-aged players on a roster. Any player born in 2013/2014 interested in playing A-level ringette may attend U12 Evaluations

U12A, U12B, and U12C Team Assignments for 2026-2027

U12 teams will be formed through evaluations that consider each player’s ringette experience, skill level, and previous season performance. The top-evaluated players will be placed on the U12A team, which is the most competitive stream and may involve additional travel, later practices, and a greater commitment to training and team activities. Players not selected for U12A, or those who do not attend A evaluations, will be placed on a U12B/C team, with TRA determining the final B or C ranking based on player experience and skill.

All U12 teams will compete in the Lower Ontario Ringette League against similarly ranked teams and will also take part in tournaments throughout the season. Players who are unable to attend evaluations may still be considered, on a case-by-case basis for U12A, and through past experience or new-to-sport best practices for B/C evaluations.

Registration is required before any player can be evaluated, and a $150 bond cheque dated April 1, 2027 must be brought to the first skate. There is no additional cost to take part in the U12 evaluation process.

• 12A: To register for 12A evaluations, complete the U12A Evaluation Registration Form.
• 12B & C: Players who do not wish to be evaluated at 12A but would like to be evaluated at the B or C level of play, please fill out the TRA B & C Evaluation Registration Form.
