For the 2025-2026 season, the volunteer bond is $150 per single player and $200 for families in either cash or a post-dated cheque dated April 1, 2026. If hours are not completed by the end of the season the cheque will be cashed or the cash will be kept. If hours are completed cheques will be returned at the year end banquet or shredded if not collected.
**Please note that no player will be allowed on the ice until their bond has been received. Bonds are required the first day.**
Purpose:
In order to keep costs as low as possible for participants, provide opportunities for high-quality ringette opportunities and foster a spirit of continued volunteerism within our community, we are requiring a volunteer bond for each family with registrants.
Obligation:
While Tillsonburg Ringette Association encourages volunteerism above the minimum requirements (this is an exclusively volunteer-run organization), each family with players registered in Fun 2 and above is required to provide 10 hours of volunteer time (15 hours for families with more than one registered athlete) to Tillsonburg Ringette Association as part of your registration commitment. Players in FUN1 are encouraged to volunteer with our annual bottle drive if possible but no bond is required.
***New this season - All families are required to sell one Cash Calendar booklet as part of their bond obligation. If tickets are not sold and returned, bond cheque will not be returned and will be cashed.
Communication:
Team managers will be responsible for keeping track of volunteer hours accumulated and will communicate with parents through RAMP about available opportunities.
Opportunities:
If a person is unable/does not intend to meet the volunteer obligation, they are encouraged to notify the team manager so that the bond can be cashed and people can be hired for some of the required events.
Team opportunities: - These positions will be a TRA Board decision. Each team has 5 positions. 1 Head Coach, Two Assistant Coaches, 1 Trainer and 1 Manager. Requirements of the position will be detailed at the mandatory coach's meeting after registration is complete.
Game opportunities: (1 game = 1 hour)
1 timekeeper per game (Fun 2 - U16)
1 scorekeeper per game (Fun 3 - U16)
1 shot Clock Operator per game (U12 - U16)
Organizational Opportunities
Bottle Drive October 18, 2025 - 5 potential hours - Hours can be accumulated by helping players collect bottles in the assigned neighbourhoods and then help with sorting and counting afterwards. We will also need volunteers to hand out flyers in their neighbourhood the week prior.
Tillsonburg Ringette Tournament - Many volunteer opportunities will be offered including, raffle sales, swag table, scorekeepers, timekeepers, shot clock, game music, 50/50 sales, and registration table.
Tillsonburg Ringette Association appreciates your continued support in helping make this organization run as smoothly as possible and is looking forward to a fun 2025-2026 season.
